Suburban Capital Markets,
Inc. was established in 1995, when the conventional mortgage finance
business of Suburban Mortgage Associates, Incorporated was reorganized
into a separate operating entity. It is a Maryland corporation, founded
for the purpose of making and securitizing non-recourse first mortgage
loans.
While a part of Suburban Mortgage Associates, the conventional mortgage
group engaged in originating, underwriting, funding, and servicing
mortgage loans for multifamily properties. In 1994, Suburban's mortgage
program added both acquisition financing and refinancing of shopping
centers, industrial/warehouses, offices, hotel properties, and self-storage,
among other property types. Suburban has been credited with a leadership
role in the development of conduit financing in the early 1990s when
traditional forms of finance were no longer available to owners of
income producing real estate.
Suburban has had conduit financing agreements with a number of major
Wall Street-based securities firms, under which Suburban has engaged
in originating, underwriting, funding, and servicing mortgage loans
for a broad range of commercial real estate properties. Currently
the firm is a loan originator and securitization partner of Citigroup
Global Markets Realty Corp., CIBC Real Estate Finance Group, Nomura
Capital Markets, and Credit Suisse/First Boston among others.
In December 1999 Suburban Capital Markets, Inc. joined with four other
CMBS production houses to create one of the largest originators of
commercial mortgages in the U.S. Today Bankers Capital Group, LLC
("BCG") is a privately held real estate entity with eight principal
investors and thirteen offices nationwide. BCG originates, underwrites
and closes its loans for securitization under contracts with Citigroup
Global Markets Realty Corp., CIBC Real Estate Finance Group, Nomura
Capital Markets, and Credit Suisse/First Boston among others. This
production power has positioned Suburban to be in daily contact with
the CMBS market and to have an array of structured loan product to
provide its customers. |
