
The property derives its name from the property’s owner and namesake Ms. Beverly Garland who has starred in 41 feature films and nearly 700 television programs. Some of the more notable programs include The Bing Crosby show, My Three Sons and the Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Because of the hotel’s affiliation with Ms. Garland, and its proximity, many area visitors use the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn as a jumping off point for tourist attractions.
The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn is a full service 255 room hotel located on a wooded 6.5 acre site. The property was constructed between 1971 and 1989, and was most recently renovated in 2002. The property consists of two mid-rise guestroom buildings, the El Dorado which is a seven-story building and the Portola which is a six-story building. A variety of other buildings on the site include the Grand Ballroom, Garland Center , Tula ’s Cafe, and the Lobby/Registration Center. These buildings incorporate many of the property’s amenities which include, 13,000 square feet of meeting space, a theater, gift shop, heated swimming pool, tennis courts and a full service restaurant and lounge. The property is extremely well located just minutes away from the area’s numerous attractions such as the Universal Studio’s Theme Park , the Hollywood Walk of Fame, ABC and NBC Studios, Warner Bros. Studios, Disney Studios, Los Angeles Zoo, Dodger Stadium, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills as well as many stars' homes in the nearby Hollywood Hills.
Suburban Capital Markets, Inc. provided a first mortgage loan to refinance the existing debt on the property. The fixed-rate non-recourse mortgage has a 10-year maturity with a 25-year amortization, and is priced over the 10-Year U.S. Treasury bond Index. |
